There is something so special about the drawings our kids create. The wobbly hearts, stick-figure families, handwritten notes and little pictures that somehow capture exactly who they are at this moment.

Instead of keeping those special drawings tucked away in a drawer, I can turn them into a beautiful, wearable keepsake.

Each sweatshirt is individually created from your child’s actual artwork and machine embroidered one design at a time. Their original lines, handwriting and little imperfections are intentionally preserved — because those are the details that make their artwork theirs.

This is truly a handmade, time-intensive piece

These sweatshirts take approximately 2 hours of hands-on work to create, in addition to the time required to prepare and digitize your child’s artwork.

This isn’t a design that’s simply printed onto a sweatshirt.

Every submitted drawing needs to be carefully reviewed and converted into a file that my embroidery machine can understand. From there, I plan the placement of each piece of artwork, choose coordinating thread colours, stabilize the sweatshirt and embroider the designs individually.

The sweatshirt needs to be re-hooped and repositioned multiple times to create the scattered, hand-drawn look shown in the photos.

Thread colours are changed throughout the process, placement is carefully checked, and each design is stitched separately before the sweatshirt is finished and cleaned up by hand.

No two will ever be exactly alike.

What can I embroider?

Children’s artwork is perfect for this! Some ideas include family drawings, handwritten names, “I love you Mom,” hearts, rainbows, flowers, little people, favourite animals, special notes, signatures or other meaningful doodles.

The imperfect lines and backwards letters are often the best part.

How it works:

After ordering, send me clear photos or scans of the artwork you would like included. For the best result, photograph each drawing straight-on in bright, even lighting with no shadows.

I will then prepare each piece of artwork for embroidery while keeping as much of your child’s original character as possible.

Every order is created individually from beginning to end, and several hours of work go into preparing and stitching each piece. Because of the amount of customization involved, I will only be accepting a limited number of orders at a time.

Please allow 2 weeks for your sweatshirt to be completed.
